Overview of HEG
The Clare Brothers’ HEG was a gas-burning, lowboy furnace series, also known as the Megasave, that has since been discontinued. This series was available in four different models, varying in size and heating capacities. Heating inputs for these for these units range from 60,000 to 120,000 BTU/H, while heating outputs range from 57,600 to 114,000 BTU/H.
Components of the HEG include pilot and main burners, hot flame sensor, air combustion blower, thermostat and blower motor. This model can be installed to vent through the roof or chimney.

Clare furnace
Best furnace ever, over 30 years old, replaced fan motor once.

Bought this high efficiency furnace(Megasave1) in 1982 and 30 yearslater, this unit still purrs like new. Stainless steel heat exchangerstill in great shape. Repair history..replaced rusted vent fan once.Unit is simple with 2 heat exchangers and..no electronic boards torepair. Just simple limit switches for safety. My flue gas exhausttemperature is 90f while my warm air temperature is 130f and thatspells savings. Atma darshan pdf. My officemate bought the same unit then and had thesame satisfying experience with this product. Why can't they make aproduct like this anymore?
